Gear mechanisms are used across a wide range of industrial sectors. They enable the amplification of small rotational forces (torque) and the acceleration of low-speed rotation. For example, power transmission systems such as the speed-increasing units that form the heart of wind turbines, automotive gearboxes (transmissions), and the reduction gears in Ferris wheels are all gear mechanisms, and are indispensable to numerous industries. By providing bearings that support ‘rotation’—arguably the most crucial element of gear mechanisms—we are, in turn, supporting the entire world.
Should a gear system fail, it would have a significant negative impact on users; therefore, bearings must possess extremely high reliability. We pursue design excellence and enhanced production quality to reduce users’ maintenance costs, offering a range of bearings characterised by long service life, high load capacity and high reliability.
Moving forward, we will continue to leverage our comprehensive capabilities, prioritise environmental considerations, and strive to develop a new generation of bearings specifically designed for gear systems that deliver smoother power transmission and will be highly regarded for many years to come.
